PRODUCT · HEAT SHIELD COATING

Heat out. Light in.

Transparent nano-glass coating that blocks solar heat and UV while keeping the light — cutting the energy bill.

  • ~90% UV blocked
  • ~70% NIR rejection
  • 85.1% visible light
  • 10+ years

WHAT IT IS

Invisible solar protection for existing glass.

HardoLass HSC is a nano-glass coating applied directly onto existing glazing, with no building work and no change to the look of the building.

It blocks ~90% of UV radiation and ~70% of near infrared (NIR) while keeping 85.1% of visible light: more thermal comfort and lower air-conditioning costs, with the same brightness.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Estimated savings in a modelled building

In a ~2,300 m² glazed building in a high solar radiation area of southern Spain, estimated savings range from ~410,000 to 650,000 kWh/year, ~€98,000–160,000/year and 160–250 t CO₂/year (conservative–realistic scenarios). In testing, a reduction of up to 7 °C was measured in the thermal load of the glass.

Indicative estimates; they depend on the building, the glazing and its use.
